Hey there readers!

As you know I am a self-professed student of YouTube University. When I transitioned from relaxed hair to chemical free hair I went on YouTube often for tutorials on hair styles as well as hair care tips and tricks as I learned my hair texture. My viewership of video content increased when I decided to loc my hair a few years later. One thing that left me in awe was the concept of the ACV (apple cider vinegar) wash. I had no idea that ACV has benefits to care hair.

Through watching different content creators’ videos on locs and natural hair care, I learned about how beneficial it is to soak locs in ACV (you may add lemon juice and or baking soda) to help strip the locs of product build up. I also learned that using ACV with an essential oil (tea tree, peppermint, jojoba, argon) and mixed with water ( put in a spray bottle) is a great way to cleanse the scalp in between washes. The ACV smell evaporates quickly leaving behind the clean sent of the essential oil.

Along with hair care, ACV may be used in other ways as well. When I became a parent, I began to be more mindful of the cleaning products I use in my home (don’t get me wrong, I will always use good ‘ole bleach). I am more mindful of when I use harsh cleaning products like bleach. I started using ACV diluted with water to clean my floors especially when my infant became a super crawler. I have also used ACV to clean my coffee maker, as well as cleaning my microwave.

There are other ways one may use ACV. I have gargled with diluted ACV when I was fighting a sore throat. Feel free to take a look at this post about ACV and its various benefits.

Do you have an item in your home you have multiple uses for? If so, what are you using it for? Please share! Blessings.
